These Vegan Blueberry Sweet Rolls start with a basic cinnamon roll dough, enhanced with blueberries instead of the usual cinnamon filling. You can enjoy them with or without a delicious vegan cream cheese frosting.
Prepare your dough by mixing the melted vegan butter, almond milk, maple syrup, and salt.
Sprinkle the active dry yeast over the top of the mixture and set aside for 10 minutes.
Stir in the flour until a dough forms.
Cover the dough in the bowl with plastic wrap and allow it to rise for 1 hour.
Once the dough has risen, lay it onto a floured surface and roll it into a 1/3-1/2 inch rectangle.
Spread softened vegan butter, sugar, and then blueberries on the dough.
Roll the dough into a log and slice it into 12 pinwheels.
Set the pinwheels into a baking dish and cover it with plastic wrap, letting it sit for 30 minutes.
 Preheat the oven to 350°F.
After letting the rolls rise for 30 minutes, remove the plastic wrap and bake them for about 30-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
While the rolls bake, prepare the vegan cream cheese icing by mixing all of the ingredients together.
Serve warm and spread the icing over the rolls.
